What are the Oracle database packages that support Windchill?
Oracle Standard or Enterprise Edition
We use other Oracle applications apart from database. Does PTC products provide integration with these applications? Especially Oracle ERP or MRP system?
Yes. PTC uses standards-based integration framework which allow PTC solutions to easily "plug into" a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) or other enterprise integration architectural designs. This Open Architecture, which is based on Industry standards, allows:
- Communicates through existing intranets, extranets, or the Internet
- Supports J2EE, including standard JSP tag libraries, JMS, and Java Connector Architecture with automatic DAO and EJB generation
- Supports Web Services with WS-I Basic Profile-compliant SOAP and WSDL
- Easily integrates with commercial EAI products through standards-based interfaces or native adapters
- Supports Java native and XML/XSL transformations
