Probably the most innovative tool in the whole ANSYS spectrum. At a first look Simplorer is a Circuit simulation tool. That's right but in fact it is much more than that.
System analysis means always looking at different domains. You may have Power Electronics in your system feeding an Electromagnetic device. The system may contain Mechanical loads, Hydraulic parts or Thermal components. And you will for sure use Control and Automation sequences. You can include all of that into your Simplorer System model.
Simplorer is a Nonlinear Multidomain-System Simulator which is capable to handle each part of a complex multiphysics circuit system and represents this by the most appropriate modelling language.
This is done by a hybrid simulator approach. The Simplorer Kernel consists of four different engines:
- Analog Simulator
- Digital Simulator
- Block Diagramm Simulator
- State Machine Simulator
Simplorer analyses the whole system by solving them in the most appropiate order to maintain accurancy and effiency.
Modeling Techniques
A key strength of Simplorer are the use of various advanced modelling techniques.
- Average and fully dynamic IGBT models and DC/DC converter synthesis
- use VHDL-AMS behavioral models
- SPICE/PSPICE
- C/C++
