Here at LEAP Australia<\/a>, we already know how good the IoT and PLM tools from PTC are – Thingworx and Windchill – after all, we work with them every day! But how do they stack up when reviewed by completely independent third-party researchers such as Gartner<\/a>, Forrester<\/a> and ABI Research<\/a>?<\/p>

Well we\u2019ve put together a compilation of the most recent independent assessments of IoT platforms and PLM that have been completed in the last 12 months – in each case, the criteria was wide ranging including objective measures such as:<\/p>

– capabilities of vendor\u2019s current technology<\/p>

– installed customer base using their technology worldwide<\/p>

– completeness of roadmap \/ vision, and<\/p>

– ability to execute.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In each report, PTC\u2019s IoT and PLM technology emerged clearly as a leader – ranked ahead in both it\u2019s currently capabilities as well as the completeness of their forward-looking vision and ability to execute their planned roadmap.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Providing further context, Gartner reviewed the scope for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms as \u201ca set of integrated software capabilities – these capabilities span efforts to improve asset management decision making, as well as operational visibility and control for plants, depots, infrastructure and equipment within asset-intensive industries and related operating environments.\u201d<\/p>
