Note on GPU Hardware Requirements:

Discovery: NVIDIA Discrete graphics card with the latest drivers. Pascal series or newer recommended. At least 4 GB of discrete video memory (8 GB recommended).

OpenGL version 4.6 or above. AMD Radeon Pro cards are also supported, with the exception of the Explore stage. When running under Discovery Modeling at least 2 GB of discrete video memory is required (4+ GB recommended).

What if I don’t yet have a supported NVIDIA GPU?

If you do not have a graphics card that meets these specifications, you can talk to LEAP about competitive pricing and advice on retrofitting a suitable GPU to your existing computers. You can also still experience Ansys Discovery – instantaneous 3D simulation coupled with direct geometry modelling enables interactive design exploration & rapid product innovation Discovery through the Ansys Discovery – instantaneous 3D simulation coupled with direct geometry modelling enables interactive design exploration & rapid product innovation Discovery Online Cloud-based trial (you will still need to register to gain access) – but please note that server location and internet connectivity may affect your user experience. Once registered to the Discovery forum you will have access to information on licensing and installation, tutorials, application examples, How-to’s and have the ability to provide feedback and input to help shape future versions of the software.
