Ansys Training (FEA, Electronics & CFD) at Monash University

1-3 July, 2026 – Monash University, Clayton Campus

Build practical simulation skills across Structures (FEA), Electronics, and Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

Join LEAP for an immersive three-day Ansys training course at Monash University, designed to strengthen your practical skills and confidence in engineering simulation. Across the program, participants will explore key workflows, best practices, and hands-on demonstrations using industry-leading Ansys tools. Read on for full course outline and register by completing the form below.

1st July 2026 – Introduction to FEA with Ansys Mechanical

Discover the fundamentals of finite element analysis through a guided workflow in Ansys Mechanical and Workbench.

Highlights include:

  • End-to-end worked example in Ansys Mechanical and Workbench
  • Geometry preparation in Ansys Discovery
  • Mesh methods, quality metrics, and mesh independence
  • Linear vs nonlinear analysis
  • Nonlinear troubleshooting techniques
  • Composite modelling with Ansys Composite PrepPost (ACP)

2nd July 2026 – Electronics Simulation

Explore simulation tools for electromagnetic and motor applications. This day includes an introduction to Ansys Motor-CAD for motor analysis, followed by a high-frequency analysis session using Ansys HFSS for antenna design and performance evaluation.

Highlights include:

  • Motor analysis with Ansys Motor-CAD
  • Electrical templates and drive circuit modelling
  • Back-EMF, torque ripple, and thermal analysis
  • Introduction to high-frequency analysis
  • Antenna modelling in Ansys HFSS
  • S-parameters, far-field results, and patch antenna live demo

3rd July 2026 – Introduction to CFD with Ansys Fluent

Build a practical foundation in computational fluid dynamics with Ansys Fluent, covering CFD workflow, meshing, boundary conditions, turbulence modelling, and solver setup.

Highlights include:

  • CFD workflow in Fluent
  • Surface and volume meshing techniques
  • Boundary conditions and turbulence modelling
