Application Engineer – Windchill PLM

The Company

For over 25 years, LEAP Australia has been successfully providing leading design and engineering software solutions from around the world to a vast range of customers and industries across Australia and New Zealand.

As a PTC Platinum Partner, we provide the full suite of PTC solutions: Creo (CAD/CAM/CAE) Windchill (PLM) ThingWorx (Industrial IoT) and Vuforia (Augmented Reality) and due to our rapidly growing Windchill customer base, we are looking for Windchill Application Engineers to join our PTC technical team.

The Role

Application Engineers are responsible for providing pre- and post-sales support to new and existing customers across ANZ. This can include:

Working with the sales team to understand customer requirements, present live software demonstrations and conduct workshops/webinars to support sales & marketing activities.
Performing software implementation services including scoping, system design, installation & configuration.
Delivering standard and custom training classes.
Providing on-site and remote technical support.

If you have experience with Windchill and looking to deepen your product knowledge and expand your knowledge and experience with other PTC products, then this is the job for you.

Experience & Skills

Experience

Experience with Windchill is essential. You will have experience in at least one of the following areas:
Core data management – CAD and Document management with Windchill.
Business process optimisation – Change and configuration management, BOM management and transformation.
Business administration – User access controls, workflows, type and attribute definitions.
System administration – Installation and upgrades, integrations to other business systems (e.g. ERP)
ThingWorx Navigate experience is desirable but not essential.
Java programming experience is desirable but not essential.
Demonstrated experience working in a software sales and/or support environment.

Skills

Excellent understanding of computer systems and networks including cloud and on-premises virtualised environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
