Ansys – Simulation tools for the engineers of tomorrow

Ansys is advanced simulation software that has a wide range of applications in engineering, including structural analysis, computational fluid dynamics, electromagnetics analysis and multi-physics. Modern product design requires thorough investigation of complex phenomena that can only be achieved quickly and cost-efficiently using computer modelling and simulation.

This workshop delivered by LEAP Australia will provide engineering students with an introduction to Ansys and demonstrate how it is used to solve a variety of engineering problems. Topics include:

  • Overview of the Ansys simulation suite
  • Geometry Preparation & Mesh Creation
  • Introduction to FEA using Ansys Mechanical
  • Introduction to CFD using Ansys Fluent

Complete the form to register your attendance and receive a confirmation email containing further information and room details. To get the most out of this workshop we highly recommend downloading the free Ansys Student Edition via the link below prior to the session.

Free Ansys Student Edition

Ansys offers students a fully functional, free academic version which is only limited by the number of allowed nodes (128k nodes/elements for structural, 512k cells/nodes for CFD, 128k nodes/elements for LS-DYNA and no limitation for Electromagnetics).

This version will run all of the tutorials available from this page and will solve other non-complex models. LEAP Australia provides Universities with unrestricted academic licenses for teaching and research purposes. For more information on academic licenses contact LEAP today.
